Gyarub Zangbo wurde im Oktober 2020 von G. Tulga während einer Erkundung auf dem Qinghai-Tibet-Plateau, im unbewohnten Qiangtang-Gebiet nordöstlich des Flusses Gyarub Zangbo in Xizang, China, gefunden. Viele zerfallene Olivin- und Metallfragmente wurden zusammen mit einem größeren, metallreichen Exemplar in der Nähe geborgen. Das gesamte Material wurde im Oktober und November 2020 von Ziyao Wang erworben, und das Meteoritical Bulletin verzeichnet die Hauptmasse als im Besitz von Ziyao Wang. Es wurde von A. Irving an der University of Washington und P. Carpenter an der Washington University in St. Louis klassifiziert und nach weiteren Mineral-, Spurenelement- und Sauerstoffisotopenanalysen in MB 114 als ungruppierter Pallasit reklassifiziert. Diese 94,90 Gramm schwere geätzte und stabilisierte Scheibe wurde von Treasure Coast Meteorite Co. erworben und als klassifiziertes Exemplar angeboten.

Zur Verifizierung. Die Seriennummer auf der beiliegenden Zertifikatskarte ist ein Index zu diesem Datensatz. Die oben stehenden Fotografien und das angegebene Gewicht identifizieren dieses Exemplar. Meteoritenoberflächen, Klastmuster und Schnittflächen sind bei jedem Stein individuell, so dass ein Exemplar direkt mit diesen Bildern verglichen und mit dem hier auf zwei Dezimalstellen genau aufgezeichneten Gewicht abgeglichen werden kann.
