About Treasure Coast Meteorite Co.
Real space rocks shouldn't be locked away in vaults and museum drawers. The idea behind this business is simple: get authentic, documented meteorites into the hands of people who will appreciate them.
I'm Brian McDonald — IMCA Member #3323, International Meteorite Collectors Association — and a veteran based in Hobe Sound, FL (Florida's Treasure Coast). The story starts earlier than the business. While I was stationed in southern Spain with my family, my son developed a deep fascination with space. He was young, but the questions he was asking were serious ones: what is the universe made of, where did the planets come from, how did everything begin?
I wanted to meet that curiosity with something real. Not a poster, not a book. An actual piece of the solar system he could hold in his hand. Living an hour from Morocco, I had access to material that most collectors in the US never see. What started as finding specimens for my son grew into a network of contacts, a working knowledge of what makes a meteorite scientifically significant, and eventually a collection serious enough to become a business.
It worked, by the way. He still uses his pieces for show and tell, excels in his science classes, and has put real moon rock in the hands of classmates who would otherwise never get the chance. That's the whole idea behind this business, scaled up.

Kids who might become scientists, collectors who want the real thing, educators who know a meteorite does more for a student than any textbook can. That's who this is for.
What to Expect from Every Order
As a member of the International Meteorite Collectors Association (IMCA #3323), I'm held to a code of ethics covering authenticity, accurate representation, and ethical sourcing. Every piece I sell is documented to that standard.
Every specimen I sell is one I'd be proud to keep. Whether you're buying your first space rock or adding a rare lunar or Martian specimen to a serious collection, I'm here to help you understand what you're buying and why it matters.
Questions about a specific specimen, its classification, pairing status, or provenance? Reach out directly at brian@tcmeteorites.com. I would rather over-explain the details than leave a buyer guessing.
