Refund Policy

Every specimen sold by Treasure Coast Meteorite Co. is an authentic meteorite and ships with a certificate of authenticity. If a specimen is not what you expected, the terms below apply.

Return window

You have 30 days from the date you receive a specimen to request a return.

Condition

The specimen must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, in its original packaging, together with its certificate of authenticity and any accompanying documentation or display materials. Meteorites are natural objects and each one is individual, so specimens are inspected against the photographs and recorded weight of the piece that was sent.

How to start a return

Contact brian@tcmeteorites.com before sending anything back. Items sent back without a requested and approved return are not accepted. Once a return is approved you will receive a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send the package.

Damage in transit

Please inspect your order on arrival. If a specimen arrives damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, contact brian@tcmeteorites.com immediately with photographs so the issue can be evaluated and an insurance claim initiated where appropriate. All shipments are insured for their declared purchase value.

Specimens that cannot be returned

Gift cards
Specimens cut, prepared or mounted to a buyer's specification
Specimens that have been altered after delivery, including cutting, polishing, etching, coating or re-mounting
Specimens returned without their certificate of authenticity

High value and private acquisitions

Specimens offered by private acquisition inquiry, and acquisitions delivered under white glove service, are handled individually. Return terms for these purchases are agreed and confirmed in writing before the sale completes.

European Union cooling off period

If a specimen is shipped into the European Union you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. The condition requirements above apply.

Exchanges

Because each specimen is individual, the fastest way to obtain a different piece is to return the one you have and place a separate order once the return is approved.

Refunds

You will be notified once your return has been received and inspected, and told whether the refund has been approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Please allow time for your bank or card issuer to process and post the refund.
