Provenance

Northwest Africa 18501 was purchased in 2025 from a meteorite dealer in Morocco, with the locality recorded as Gleib en Ndour, Mauritania. It was classified by J. Garcia at ADARA under the work name BMD 029 and approved on 27 March 2026 for publication in the Meteoritical Bulletin, MB 115. The Meteoritical Bulletin records the main mass as held by Brian McDonald of Treasure Coast Meteorite Co., IMCA Member #3323, who submitted the material for classification. This 6183 gram complete individual is that main mass and is offered as a classified specimen.
